 and the ceremony included tons of promo materials for the first visitors, including SE branded bikes and towels. Hmm, why do we care about the promo materials. Guess they just make the scene more compelling and the brand more trustworthy in the eyes of consumers.</p>
<p>Anyway, the Swedish-Japanese handset maker also decided to use the space surrounding the store, hence not only the store visitors, but also the people walking nearby will certainly spot somewhat annoying Sony <b>Ericsson</b> signs and ads. However, the new store keeps the same look and feel as other SE stores around the world. And now more photos.</p>

As far as we know, the upcoming device will run the latest version of UIQ (3.3) on top of Symbian OS, and will also boast such things as some camera (we're not sure about the megapixel count), WiFi and Bluetooth. We would certainly like to see HSDPA on the list too, but we're not sure about that one either.
It's likely the Swedish-Japanese handset maker won't market the BeiBei as a smartphone — rather, they'll probably sell it to all round feature phone users, which want an extra function or two from time to time. They're already using the same/similar concept with the G700 and G900 models. In that sense, Sony Ericsson may have a winner with the BeiBei.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 superphone that took the industry by storm just a couple months ago has taken an unfortunate back-burner position. Don't misunderstand, the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 is still an incredible piece of kit for which many people (yours truly included) would sacrifice a non-essential appendage - it's just that other handset news has pushed the XPERIA X1 out of the news cycle.So, it's good to see the newest white paper on the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1. We already know with a fair degree of certainty what the X1 will look like and what kind of features it will boast when it launches, but there are a couple significant insights lying within the white paper.
First, and foremost, the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 will launch with two distinct variants. The US, in all its awkwardly non-conforming greatness, will be seeing the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1a hit its shores. The "a" presumably indicates that the X1a will be pulling duty as the Windows Mobile superphone of choice on AT&T's 3G network. The rest of the world will be getting the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1c.
The XPERIA X1a will be distinguished from its X1c sibling in its choice of 3G frequency support. The X1a will sport a quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900Mhz) radio and a tri-band (850/1900/2100Mhz) UMTS/HSPA radio for 3G data connectivity, while the X1c changes things up with a tri-band (900/1900/2100Mhz) UMTS/HSPA 3G radio. The XPERIA X1c should be shipped to the rest of the world with 3G frequency support in the 900Mhz band in favor of the 850Mhz band that us Americans are so fond of.

That's for both mobile and desktop, even though we care only about the former.Apparently, the wallpapers are suited to work with the Z555i clamshell, even though other models (not just those made by the Swedish-Japanese handset maker) will do just fine. As for the desktop wallpapers, simply pick the image with the resolution that fits your monitor and voila — you'll have a beautiful face saying hello every time you turn on your computer. Nice!

That's of course the price with a 2-year contract and a mail-in rebate. Three color options are available - gray, purple and pink. Specs include 2 megapixel camera, HSDPA support, stereo Bluetooth (A2DP), 2.2-inch QVGA screen, and a memory stick micro slot.

XPERIA X1 as the single best Windows Mobile phone announced to date. The newly released XPERIA white paper adds two important details to the mix. Apparently, once it's released in September, the XPERIA X1 will sport:- 256MB of SDRAM and 512MB of NAND Flash - that's the largest amount of memory any smartphone has. Or at least I'm not aware some other device has that much memory available.
- High-capacity 1500 mAh lithium polymer battery that should reportedly provide users with up to 10 hours of talk time using GSM or 6.5 hours using UMTS, or 3.1 hours if their making video calls all the time.
What can I say - I want one! A whole summer divide us from owning the XPERIA. ;(

As you're probably aware, this face-detection baby packs 5 megapixel camera into a stylish slim casing and we love it for that.Now the question is when we'll see the mentioned two devices hitting the U.S. market. Honestly, we don't have a clue. As a matter of fact, we don't even know whether the Swedish-Japanese handset maker will ever push them to North American consumers. We certainly hope that will be the case with the C902 model, but our hope isn't actually something you can count on…
